The countdown is on. Only 11 more sleeps until the holiday break! For some of the Tigers, who are leaving a bit early, it is even sooner. There is definitely an air of winter around here!
Term three started this week, so students are picking up their new set of classes. For some this is a lighter term, and for others it is busy with APs.
Sophia Yu was involved in a mock trial this week – they placed 5th! Well done.
A group of Timmis Tigers decorated the house for the holidays. It is looking very festive and cozy.
All houses have been challenged to decorate a tree to win house points. Each Tiger created an ornament that reminds them of home to hang from it during the house meeting, and Nele, Lamees, and Giang set it up. The Timmis-designed tree is in the stairway to the dining hall to all to admire.
Saturday Activities this week included a trip to the Winter Craft Fair, the Lighted Truck Santa’s Parade, Uptown Nordic Boulevard, yoga, and a walk to Marta Cafe for a hot drink.
Last night there was a heavy frost, but it looked almost like snow! Anzu went out and made some emojis. Snow is in the forecast for tonight so maybe we will get some real snow before long!
Tonight we had a special dinner in Grave’s Hall, where the students got to dress up a bit and enjoy a delicious dinner. Manola lead us in an expression of gratitude before the meal.
We also had a Gingerbread House decorating contest this evening.
